Free screen recorder · built in a day · by one person

Record your screen. Send a link. That's it.

No download. No extension. No 5-minute cap. No card. No book a demo. You click record, you talk, you paste a link.

Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and Firefox.

This is a Rekkko. Recorded with Rekkko.

Here's the deal.

01

It's free. Actually free.

No trial that expires. No watermark tax. No upgrade to remove limit. If you can open a browser, you can use Rekkko.

02

Because it costs me almost nothing.

No office. No sales team. No investors asking for 40% margins. One person, a laptop, and hosting bills I can cover from my day job.

03

When I do charge, it'll be a fraction.

One day there might be a paid plan for teams. It'll cost what it costs to run, plus enough to keep me caffeinated. Not $18 a seat.

Loom is great. It's also $18 a month.

Respect to Loom, they invented this. But their free plan stops at 5 minutes and 25 videos, and monthly Business costs $18 per person.

Farhan Razak

Why is this free? Honest answer.

I'm a product designer. I've spent 15 years watching companies charge for things that cost them nothing to run, then hiring more people to justify the price. Rekkko took me a day to build. The hosting is cheap. There is no team. There is no overhead. So the honest price is: free, until enough of you use it that my hosting bill gets scary, at which point I'll ask the teams using it heavily to chip in a few dollars. Everyone else stays free. That's the whole business plan. I know, MBAs hate it.

— Farhan, the one person at Rekkko

Boring but important.

Your videos are unlisted by default. Only people with the link can watch.

I don't sell your data. I don't even have anyone to sell it to.

Delete a video and it's gone. No soft delete, no 30-day limbo.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. No card, no trial, no watermark. Free.

What's the catch?

There isn't one yet. When there is, it'll be a small paid plan for teams and I'll say so on this page before it happens.

Unlimited for now, what does that mean?

It means I'm one person paying for storage. If you upload 400 hours of 4K, we're going to have a conversation. For normal humans, record as much as you like.

What quality?

Rekkko records the quality your browser and selected screen can provide.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in your browser. No extension, no app, nothing for IT to approve.

Do viewers need an account?

Never. They click the link, they watch.

How secure are my recordings?

Every recording is unlisted and only reachable with the exact link. Files sit in private storage and play through temporary links that expire. You can add a password, an expiry date, or switch a link off. Full details are on the Security page.

Does it work on my phone?

You can watch on your phone. Recording needs a desktop browser because phones don't allow screen capture from a website yet.

How long can a recording be?

There is no timer. Your browser memory and the current 2 GB upload ceiling still apply.

Can I record my camera too?

Yes. Little bubble in the corner, like the expensive ones.

Can I download the file?

Yes. Download the original recording from the video page.

Do links expire?

Only if you want them to. You can set a password, an expiry date, or disable a link at any time from the video page.

Where are my videos stored?

Your account and recordings are stored in Europe (Ireland) on Lovable Cloud, our hosting provider, encrypted in transit and at rest. Files stay in private storage and play through temporary links. Full details are on the Security page.

Can I delete my account?

Account deletion is coming to Settings. You can already delete individual recordings immediately.

Who made this?

One product designer in Dubai, in a day, mostly out of spite. See Why it's free above.

Why three Ks?

Because rekko.com was taken and honestly you'll remember this one.

That thing you're about to type? Rekkko it.
